Electrician in Northcote

Northcote is the suburb where we see the most heavily renovated period housing. Victorian terraces and workers’ cottages off High St and around Westgarth that have had two or three owners each add something, so the wiring is a timeline rather than a system.

The usual finding is three generations of cable in one house. Original rubber or cotton braid in the untouched rooms, 1980s work in the kitchen, and something recent in the rear extension, all running back to a board that was only ever sized for the first of those. Sorting the board and the oldest circuits normally gets the house safe without touching the parts that are already fine.
